     Hello!  Thank you for visiting my page.  I was born in Japan and raised in the suburbs of Manhattan.  My family moved a lot so I was always the “new kid” in many different schools. After graduating high school from Perth Western Australia, I earned my BS in engineering. Shorty after working in the engineering and IT field,  I started to wonder what it is that I really wanted to do.  I started to pursue computer animation, but it was my encounter with the Art of Monster’s Inc book that solidified my decision to pursue art in the entertainment field where art is used to tell stories.  I studied rigorously under several instructors in the Los Angeles area and am currently working in the animation industry as an artists for visual development, lighting and color key, and matte painting.  I try to keep taking workshops to further my skills and for inspiration.

In my spare time, I like to go out running in the mountains,  exploring and sketching urban scenes, and plein air painting. I also spend a lot of my time volunteering for a feline rescue and travel as much as I can.
